    Release Notes

    The following list of updates has been categorized based on the installer required. The Client installer is required for Prepar3D v4.2, however the Content, Scenery, and SDK installers are optional. You must first have Prepar3D v4 installed to utilize the Client only installer. To install the Prepar3D v4.2 Client, you must first uninstall the previous Prepar3D v4.0/v4.1 Client through Programs and Features in Windows Control Panel. The Prepar3D v4.2 Client update will require you to reactivate your product – with an internet connection it will be automatic. Please view the Prepar3D v4 Download/Installation Instructions from the Prepar3D.com Downloads page.

    • Added “Message Text” option to enable or disable additional information text messages including opening the aircraft canopy
    • Fixed issue where Air Traffic views would not correctly sync in VR

    Da ein Forum ja eine Platform ist, welche anderen Teilnehmer Hilfe bieten sollte sind solche Antworten nicht wirklich hilfreich.

    Also, ich versuche auch mal mein Glück und hoffe, dass uns jemand die Frage nach der Installation des Updates erklären kann. Wäre euch wirklich dankbar.

  • Ich werde mit dem Update erstmal warten bis alle namhaften Addonhersteller Patches veröffentlicht haben. Mindestens AS und FSUIPC sollen aktuell nicht laufen, Chaseplane wohl auch nicht so richtig, und der Rest wird sich dann ähnlich verhalten. Ist also eher ein Anfang-März-Projekt. Und ich werd nach aktuellem Stand nur Client und Content neuinstallieren (Welche alte dateien muss ich da vorher sichern und nachher wieder einfügen, scenery.cfg?)

  • Ach Leute, im Change Log sieht man ja wo und wie was geändert wurde, da ist kein großes Englisch nötig (und wenn gar nichts geht, ist dieses sicher mit einem Übersetzer zu entschlüsseln).


    Im Change sind alle drei Installations- Bestandteile genannt, für die Teile "Content" und "Scenery" gibt es nur minimale Anpassungen (z.B. in Syrien) und etwas an Luftfahrzeugen und SDK Objekten ist hin zugekommen. Wer das nicht braucht, installiert einfach den neuen Content und wie das geht ist ja seid Einführung dieser Möglichkeit zu jedem Update durch gekaut worden. Übrigens bin ich ein Fan alles neu und sauber zu installieren, hatte mit einem Content Update aber auch noch keine Probleme.

    Schuster, bleibe bei deinen Leisten, oder anders: Hilfe ist eine Sache und dafür hier sicher auch der richtige Platz. Wenn man der englischen Sprache nicht mächtig ist, geschenkt. Aber ich setzte mal eine gewisse Internetaffinität voraus, wenn man sich an einem Forum beteiligt. Daher auch die Übersetzung kein Meisterwerk. Zum Thema: LM hat auch bei diesem Update das Rad nicht neu erfunden und die Handhabung bleibt wie immer. Client und wer mag Content, Scenery. Lief zu 4.1 problemlos. Vorher Backup. Paar Tage Geduld und man kann frei selbst entscheiden, was sinnvoll ist.
