A KLM Boeing 737-300, registration PH-BDP performing flight KL-1369 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Warsaw (Poland), was cleared to take off runway 36C at about 20:36L (19:36Z), however actually took off along the parallel taxiway B. The airplane continued to Warsaw for a safe landing.
Schiphol Airport confirmed the incident in a press release without providing any further data stating, that a KLM Boeing 737 had taken off a parallel taxiway to runway 36C "just after sunset". The press departments of Schiphol Airport, KLM, LVNL (Netherland ATC) declined to provide any further comment and just refer to the press release issued by Schiphol Airport.
The Dutch Onderzoeksraad (Netherland's accident investigation board) said in the morning of Feb 12th, they are investigating a runway incursion involving the takeoff from a taxiway, however do not know any further details at this time.
In the afternoon of Feb 12th the Onderzoeksraad reported, that the flight involved was KL-1369 to Warsaw and had taken off taxiway B. The investigation board is still in the process of determining where the aircraft got airborne and whether taxiway D was used for the takeoff run as well. The actual taxi route is under investigation. First information is to be expected next week (Feb 15th or later).
The Aviation Herald had determined three KLM Boeing 737s taking off in the time on Wednesday (Feb 10th) between 16:30L and 19:30L (15:30-18:30Z), during which runway 36C was used for takeoff:
16:38L: flight KL-1247 to Billund (Denmark), Boeing 737-800 registration PH-BXF
17:38L: flight KL-1933 to Geneva (Switzerland), Boeing 737-800 registration PH-BXM
18:20L: flight KL-1093 to Manchester,EN (UK), Boeing 737-300 registration PH-BTD
ADS-B position data The Aviation Herald received from KL-1247's transponder are not conclusive. The ADS-B position data received from KL-1933's transponder indicate the aircraft entered runway 36C correctly via taxiway W10 before commencing its takeoff roll. KL-1093 did not transmit ADS-B position data on their transponder signal.
