Pilots will come from different departure aerodromes with various Aircraft.

Wir waren noch nie da und ATC ist gut. Das wissen wir ja.

Nun. Doncaster ist nach Sheffield (30 km entfernt) die zweitgrößte Stadt in South Yorkshire. Die Entfernung nach London beträgt etwa 250 km.

1909 wurde das Doncaster Racecourse als Austragungsstätte einer Flugschau ausgewählt. Eine erste Flugschau fand ein Jahr zuvor im französischen Reims statt. In Doncaster waren alle führenden Flugpioniere anwesend. Bei dem Versuch, den von der Daily Mail ausgeschriebenen Preis für das Fliegen innerhalb einer Quadratmeile zu gewinnen, verunfallte Samuel Franklin Cody jedoch noch auf der Startbahn. Im Ersten Weltkrieg wurde das Gelände als Basis für Flugzeuge genutzt, die die britische Ostküste gegen Zeppeline verteidigen sollten, jedoch konnten keine Eindringlinge entdeckt werden. Das Royal Flying Corps trainierte ausgehend von der Basis bei Doncaster Piloten für Luftkämpfe über Frankreich. Innerhalb von Monaten nach dem Krieg wurde die Anlage an eine Sheffielder Herstellerfirma für Motoren verkauft. In den 1970ern wurden alle Gebäude des Geländes abgerissen und eine moderne Wohnsiedlung errichtet.

In den 1920ern beschloss die britische Regierung, ein Netz ziviler Flugplätze für die Bevölkerung zu erstellen. Am 26. Mai 1934 eröffnete schließlich auch bei Doncaster ein erster ziviler Flugplatz. Eine erste internationale Luftverbindung nach Amsterdam wurde am 1. Juli 1936 eingerichtet.

Es geht also zum Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. Der Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield ist der Flughafen der Städte Doncaster und Sheffield, er wird für internationale und nationale Verkehrsdienste genutzt. Er besitzt eine Start- und Landebahn. Betrieben wird er von der britischen Peel Group.

Im letzten KuMi thread wurde es bereits besprochen.

Es sieht nicht so aus, als ob IVAO schnell mit 64 BIT MTL’s um die Ecke kommt.

Nach und nach werden mit Sicherheit hier viele auf die V4 umsteigen. Dies würde bedeuten, dass irgendwann der, der noch FSX fliegt jeden KuMi gewinnt. Denn irgendwann flöge er alleine

Wir müssen uns dem Thema also stellen.

Steigt der KuMi um, auf VATSIM? Vielleicht sogar nur zeitweise?

On Tuesday 23rd of May the speculative drama was brought to rest when Lockheed Martin announced that the release of Prepar3D v4 is going to be released on the 30th of May. OK so what's all the hype about, well, yes as the rumors had it, a 64bit platform of P3D is finally on our door step.

So, how does this affect/help Majestic Software's Q400?

We too are filled with anticipation since the Beta release of v4, as it allowed us to determine how much work is required in getting the venerable Q400 ready for release date.

The Q400 has required some extensive re-working to become compatible with the new 64bit platform so we will be a bit late off the starting blocks. Something to make you all cognizant of is that Majestic will continue the transition of the Q400 for Prepar3D V4 when the simulator and the SDK becomes sufficiently stable. This is a policy we have followed with every new flight simulator release such as FSX Steam, Prepar3D V2.0 and V3.0, and it is done to make sure no major code re-write is necessary as the newly release simulator is updated and patched. Several other developers have made announcements that their add-ons will available shortly after the release of the new P3D platform which is really good to see some our of favorite add-ons being released......

The current status of the Q400:

The TRAINING Edition, which many of you know is currently in its final stages of development has required a re-write of a large number of systems logic to correctly interface/react upon the triggered or service based failures. For example, the training Q400 will know if you are in the left or the right seat, and allow for the disconnection of correct flight controls behavior during a shared cockpit flight. I will be posting some images and possibly some video of the TRAINING Ed. in the upcoming days/weeks as we get ready to push another Beta out to our team for testing.

ALL EDITIONS of The Majestic Software Q400 will be upgraded to Prepar3D v4 compatibility!!!

Several folks have asked about likelihood of MJC charging for the transition to the 64bit platform. This at the moment is under discussion and we'll provide additional information regarding whether there will be a charge for moving up to Prepar3D v4, bear in mind that MJC did not charge for moving from FSX to P3D v2x nor did we charge for moving from P3D v2.x to P3D v3.x.

This may sound a bit disappointing to many and we apologize, but we find that it is necessary to have these items in place before completing the 64bit transition. As usual we will not discuss time frames but we are pushing forward to make this feasible for all three platforms FSX/P3D v3.4.x and P3D v4.

However, on the bright side, congratulations to the hard working dedicated Lockheed Martin development group for the long await, highly anticipated Prepar3D v4 which will now provide developers the opportunity to push the envelope and potentially raise the bar for upcoming projects.

Wenn man da steht kann man die Musik echt laut aufdrehen. Da gibt es nix. GAAAAAR NIX in der Naehe.

Wir haben raus gefunden, das der Platz laut Notam seit dem 01.06.2017 zu ist. Egal, dann darf man auch nicht mehr den tollen Checkerboard fliegen.

Knöpfchendrücker und Rafi kuemmern sich ums ATC......

Er liegt rund 35 Kilometer südsüdwestlich von Magdeburg im Salzlandkreis in der Gemarkung der Stadt Hecklingen südlich des heutigen Stadtteils Cochstedt.
