PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A plane en-route from Ireland made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport Wednesday afternoon after receiving a threat.
According to reports, US Airways flight 777 landed in Philadelphia at about 2 p.m. after a threat was reportedly phoned in to the airport. The exact nature of the threat was not immediately released.
Once the plane landed, all passengers, as well as their baggage, were removed from the plane and re-screened. The plane was isolated as well.
At about 3 p.m., the search of the plane ended and authorities said nothing suspicious was found aboard the plane. The plane contained 171 passengers and eight crew members.
After the all-clear was given, the plane was brought back to the airport area, as well as the passenger’s luggage.

The device was left of the Irish Shannon. The destination was probably the U.S. city of Pittsburg. According to a spokeswoman for the police there was a'' threat'' but was not specified. The airline spoke of a possible security problem''''.

After landing, the plane was directed to a remote part of the airport. There were 171 passengers and checked baggage.
