    Hallo Leute,

    es geht zum Key West International Airport, der drei Kilometer östlich des Stadtzentrums von Key West, Florida liegt. Der IATA-Code startet mit dem zweiten Buchstaben des Namens, weil „K“ ein reservierter Block ist. Flüge, die von dem Flughafen starten, haben oftmals strikte Gewichtsbeschränkungen wegen der Kürze der Start- und Landebahn. 

    Key West (spanisch Cayo Hueso) ist eine Stadt und der County Seat des Monroe County im US-Bundesstaat Florida mit 26.444 Einwohnern (Stand: 2020).[1] Die Stadt befindet sich größtenteils auf der gleichnamigen Insel am Westende der Florida Keys. Der englische Name leitet sich von der spanischen Bezeichnung „Cayo“ für kleine flache Inseln im Golf von Mexiko ab.

    Der Flughafen wird von mehreren amerikanischen Airlines im nationalen Verkehr angeflogen.

    Naja, zur Not kannst du nach KNQX ausweichen. Die haben Bahnen in ausreichender Länge und Anzahl - mit entsprechendem riesiger Kapelle und Begrüßungskomitee für die ungefragt einschwebende Maschine aus Venezuela.
