ACHTUNG!!!! WINDOWS 10 UPDATE KB4038788 12. September 2017 & P3D V3 Crash

    Ich rege mich ja auch nicht auf, sondern frage mich einfach, wie so etwas passieren kann und habe mal "laut" über mögliche Folgen nachgedacht. Im Übrigen haben kleinere Firmen kaum einen teuren Supportvertrag. Und wenn da was passiert, bleibt es letzten Endes auch nicht gerade ohne finanzielle Folgen.
    Von der Absturzorgie hier bin ich ja verschont geblieben, da ich eh P3D V4 installiert habe.

    Habe das Update nochmals installiert und die V3 im Kompatibilitätsmodus für Windows 7 gestartet. Kurzes Bild vom Flusi, dann hat er sich verabschiedet. Update wieder deinstalliert und die V3 ohne Kompatibilitätsmodus gestartet. Der Flusi läuft ohne Probleme....

    Ja, bei unseren Servern mache ich das manuell. Jedesmal ein snapshot vor den Updates und dann testen. So kann ich bei Problemen einfach zurück rollen.

    Ich habe jede Menge FSX Sceneryen die ich im V3 nutze. Wenn ich jetzt deshalb auf den V4 umsteigen müsste wären ja die Sceneryen nicht mehr nutzbar, oder? Dann habe ich in Zukunft nur noch die Wahl zwischen Pest und Kolera. Wie der Jupp schon geschrieben hat, man kann die Updates ja wohl nicht für immer deaktiviert lassen

    Naja.

    Große Firmen stellen auch nicht so schnell um. Solange es Support gibt, wird „proven technology“ genutzt. Außerdem ist es auch eine Kostenfrage.

    Ich finde es schon erstaunlich wie oft Jemand hier in Andermanns Portemonnaie sehen kann.
