  • Version 3.9.6 – April 29th, 2026

    • GSX (all versions) NEW: Saved Locations. User-named lat/lon/heading bookmarks for any spot at any airport, recallable from the parking-selection menu as a "Saved locations" submenu and usable as warp targets — the aircraft's nose-wheel lands exactly on the saved point, regardless of aircraft size. Two ways to create one: from the menu when on the ground and away from parkings ("Save current position..." stores the aircraft's current pose), or from the airport map by dropping a warp cursor on any spot and clicking "Save Location". Saved locations live in the airport profile and persist across sessions.
    • GSX (all versions) NEW: Saved Locations editing on the airport map. Each bookmark renders as a violet circle showing where the aircraft body would actually sit after warping in (offset back by the current aircraft's nose-wheel-to-datum distance), with a crosshair marking the precise nose-wheel target so different aircraft show the same bookmark at sizes that match their footprint. Drag the circle to move it, drag the orange rotation handle (visible when the bookmark is selected) to rotate it around the crosshair, double-click to rename, press DEL to delete (with confirmation). All edits autosave.
    • GSX (all versions) NEW: Saved Locations editing from the menu. When the aircraft is standing on a saved location, the gate menu offers "Rename '...'" and "Delete '...'" entries alongside the usual options. Delete asks for an in-menu Yes/No confirmation before removing the bookmark.
    • GSX (all versions) NEW: Handler scripts can now read user-saved locations. getCurrentSavedLocation() returns the bookmark the aircraft is standing on (within its proximity ring), or None; getAirport().savedLocations enumerates every bookmark configured for the airport. Read-only proxies — handlers can react to bookmarks but cannot create, rename, or delete them (that lifecycle remains the user's). See the Handler Scripts Developer Guide.
    • GSX Pro Change: Status panel now reflects MARS sub-position context — the airport line shows the active sub-position id (e.g. "Gate E 32 [MARS: E34]"). When the aircraft is standing on a user-saved location, the state line reads "Our <aircraft> is on the <name> location" instead of the generic "taxiing on ground".
    • GSX (all versions) Change: SafeDock3 displays now substitute the parent's gate number with the active MARS sub-position id ("GATE E" / "E34" instead of "GATE E" / "32" when sub-position E34 is engaged), so the dock readout reflects which sub-position the aircraft is at.
    • GSX (all versions) Change: On the 2D map, the pushback endpoint cursor and the "Warp to point" cursor now place the airplane silhouette's nose right at the clicked point, with a small crosshair marking the spot — matching the 3D editor convention.
    • GSX (all versions) Change: "Warp to point" now lands the aircraft's nose-wheel exactly at the clicked point, for any aircraft size. Before, larger aircraft ended up well past the target.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: A restart of the Couatl engine could occasionally hang, leaving the old process running in Task Manager and never starting the replacement. Restarts are now guaranteed to complete.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: Engine restarts could take up to 30 seconds of waiting before the new instance even began loading. The shutdown step is now immediate, so the new instance starts loading right away.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: Editing several parkings in a row could eventually cause GSX to misbehave — ground services failing to appear, the editor camera jamming, etc. Fixed.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: 3D parking editor: the pushback endpoint cursor and its ruler are again aligned, with the airplane silhouette's nose-wheel sitting exactly on the saved point so it can be lined up precisely with taxiway markings.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: Persistent duplicate VDGS at wall-mounted SafeDock parkings (a stale static next to the freshly-spawned dynamic, most visible at LFPG terminal docks) is gone.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: MARS sub-positions: editing wingspan, parking position, or parking system from the airport editor now correctly persists to the active MARS sub-position. Previously the user's edits could be silently overwritten with the parent stand's values on exit, depending on the order of cleanup steps.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: MARS sub-positions: deleting a sub-position now also tears down its running SafeDock display and its static SimObject. The deleted sub-position no longer leaves a phantom dock or a snapshot-resurrected INI entry behind.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: MARS sub-positions: warp to a sub-position now lands the aircraft at the sub-position's location instead of at a stale stop position left over from before the parking was moved. Moving the parking in the editor now also clears any previously-customized stop position so the default formula recomputes a sensible stop at the new location.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: 3D parking editor: when editing a new MARS sub-position, the stop-position marker now follows the parking marker live as you move it, instead of staying frozen at the editor-entry pose. Switching to the stop-position editor after moving the parking shows the stop under the moved parking, ready to fine-tune from there.
    • GSX (all versions) Fix: Baggage carts on Deboarding and the front baggage loader could land off-position with the wrong heading at parkings where the vehicle's spawn pose was significantly off the chord to the cargo door — most visibly with the front loader cutting under the airplane belly. The approach now stays a clean forward U-turn that ends parallel to the airplane axis before the final 90° turn into the door, regardless of spawn pose.
